The company was once called "Walsh Painting and Contracting" - but that name didn't tell the whole story - so a few years ago, it was changed.

Kevin calls what he and his crews do "Exterior Decorating" a higher level of commercial painting that blends classical techniques, modern technology and good old-fashioned craftsmanship.

Originally from Tennessee, Kevin has lived in Sarasota Florida for over three decades, originally coming to Florida to attend Ringling School of Art & Design. But instead of painting on canvas his muse was found painting walls. In fact, it seems he had a distinct talent for the medium.

Over the years his fascination with doing art right on walls has involved hand-painted wall paper, the fascinating art of faux painting, and commissions for dozens of famous and beautiful buildings.

"My work has been published in Architectural Digest and House and Garden. I was working in New York in the eighties. I did a mural in Mathew Modine’s home in NYC. In 1987 and had I taken part in the decoration of the MK club (owned by Eric Goode and Serge Becker who also did ‘Area’, ‘Time Cafe’, ‘The Hardware Store’ and other NYC night spots.

We met at ‘Pop Cafe’ in the central Santo Spirito Square of Florence. We talked about my travels around the world from ‘86 to ‘97 when I studied the wide range of wall covering techniques and design styles used in different countries.
